Beaded and Quilted Bags are Trending with Celebs This Week

Brands know what they’re doing when they use quilted leather. This week’s celebrity bag lineup spotlights two textures that always feel especially relevant for fall: beading and quilting. Valentino is the most recent big name to make a foray into quilted leather bags with its brand new Valentino Rockstud Spike Bag. Both finishes add depth and polish, whether the bag is styled with something dressy, casual, or somewhere in between. Beaded bags are also making a splash this week, and their colors really pop against dark fall hues.

From heritage house classics to newer statement pieces, these looks show how texture can make an accessory feel instantly more considered.

This style was one of our favorites from last summer’s round of Resort 2016 collections, but we never saw it anywhere in stores.

On the quilted side, Jennifer Garner was spotted with a Chloé Faye Bag, Miranda Kerr carried a quilted Christian Dior Lady Dior Bag, and Karlie Kloss was seen with the Valentino Rockstud Spike Bag, a newer take that blends quilted texture with a sharper, more embellished finish.

I well use Miranda Kerr’s Lady Dior looks, which surprises me since I like things to look immaculate. Rowan Blanchard also brought a polished finish to the mix with a red quilted Chanel Frame Bag, proving that texture can be just as important as color when a bag is meant to stand out.
