I had always assumed Rue La La was a relatively small company under parent Retail Convergence. That may have been true a few years ago when they first entered the private sales space. But their rapid success has fueled massive growth. Today, the team numbers over 300 employees.

The Boston Headquarters: A Renovated Warehouse

The headquarters—and nearly the entire retail division—is housed in a beautifully renovated old brick warehouse in Boston’s Seaport district. Over the past three years, operations have expanded across multiple floors, with dedicated spaces for offices, meeting rooms, and content production.

The Production Floor: A Photographer’s Dream

Visiting the production floor was a highlight. The team was prepping and photographing products destined for the upcoming sale. The elaborate photography setups rival professional studios—so impressive that I considered moving in.

A Private Sales Powerhouse

With over 2.6 million registered members, Rue La La is one of the most successful private sales sites in the United States. Designer handbags appear on the site regularly, but a curated event of this scale is something special.
